Stanley Klopfenstine
Mr. Klopfenstine has attained his prestigious position after many years of experience in, and study of the art, and through an ingenious creative ability.
While attending the Kansas City Art Institute, he was so intrigued by stained glass that he searched for a university where he could study it. He did not find one, so Mr. Klopfenstine entered an apprenticeship program; wherein, he studied under a European stained glass master, Ron Dixon, for 5 years.
During the apprenticeship, he completed classes in automotive glass, blueprint reading, framing, and structure. He has gone on to establish himself as one of the top stained glass artists in the United States, if not the world.
Some of his accomplishments during his 38 years of stained glass creations include; being featured on three consecutive Hallmark Catalog covers, a stained glass fireplace screen that was featured in the Neiman Marcus catalog, placement in Better Homes and Gardens, and numerous other publications. He was also featured in the HGTV March 24, 2002 airing of their Modern Masters series.
In conjunction with McMow Studios of Lake Worth, Mr. Klopfenstine designed, cut, and painted the dome for the Miami home of the Italian designer, Gianni Versace.
Stanley Klopfenstine's stained glass works can be found in churches throughout the United States and in other countries.
